Review of Away We Go (2009) by Bradley H — 18 Mar 2012
The quirkiness of this film, more often than not, feels forced as opposed to organic. In the stretches between the too few moments of genuine heart, it seems to lag, and offers up more mild amusement than cutting humor.
(The episode in Madison stands out as the highpoint of the humor.) Perhaps what really holds this film back is that I never bought the chemistry between the leads.
