Review of Away from Her (2007) by Fred L — 24 Mar 2008
I really liked it. Yeah, this is Fred. Yeah, I know it's Canadian. It was sappy but smart and it worked on me....dammit. I don't know why Gordon Pinsent didn't get more accolades for his work.
I thought his performance was just as good a Julie Christie's. I loved the hockey play-by-play guy, especially the "there's a man with a broken heart... broken in a thousand pieces" line - made me burst out laughing.
