Review of Away from Her (2007) by Karla G — 25 Feb 2009
A romantically sad story about a man dealing with his wife's Alzheimer disease. "Away from Her" is not an easy movie to watch. It chronicles a long series of heartbreaking moments as this man witnesses his wife deteriorate in her illness and as their relationship declines.
The true value and meaning of love, loyalty and sacrifice are examined. The movie is well produced and Gordon Pinsent and Julie Christie were great.
