Review of Away from Her (2007) by Nitai A — 09 Oct 2009

Julie christie did NOT deserve the oscar like everyone thought. marion cotillard did (thankfully she won!). I don't know - this movie... I really liked the music but the pacing was a bit slow. I thought julie christie was great, but gordon pinsent was the best! I didn't understand why he slept with that one woman or how that benefited the story at all - it basically was like 'my wife forgot me from a disease - I can finally sleep around!' I don't know - not the best storyline but it was sad nonetheless.
