Review of Awakened (2013) by Samantha L — 19 Mar 2014
I loved the film itself, I loved the acting, and just the story itself. But what I was left with was this empowering experience. I was left with this hope and empowerment. As a woman, I was really touched by the story and I found it so refreshing to finally have a powerful female lead.
Sure it happens in the films of today, but Julianne Michelle's character Samantha was just such an inspiration to me. Her strength really came across beautifully.
