The film is a bit slow until you get to the actual surgery, it starts to really pick up there & gets interesting. Basically this guy goes in for a heart surgery but the anesthesia doesn't work on him so he is fully awake, but paralyzed, during the entire operation.
He can not only hear what's going on in the operating room, but he can feel everything they are doing to him during the operation. On top of that, the doctors performing the operation want to kill him in order to take his money because he is very rich.
Anesthetic Awareness is super freaky...I had no idea it existed.
