Review of AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) by Ohsnappage . — 29 Jun 2012
Very disappointing. The story is lame and is nothing more than a movie splicing two sci fi genres together in hopes of profit. Now Dark Horse comics did this story years ago and met w/ huge success and high demand of fans wanting a movie made.
Years later they use a similar plot/concept of those books and made this garbage. Too many poses and hyped up scenes and cheesy lines are played out in this film. It's silly and offers no thrills, or intrigue.
The acting is dry and the directing is pretty awful. The film makes a failed attempt to tie the story to the blockbuster classic films like Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, & Predator but does more harm to the franchise then helps it.
It's a cheap attempt at a made for fans movie that is nothing more than candy that tastes pretty awful.
