Review of AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) by Iven S — 15 Jul 2012

AKA My BFF Predator. As soon as I saw the line-up of all the characters getting debriefed I guessed correctly who was going to be the last two to make it to the end of the movie & of course its not half obvious who the sole survivor will be. Though this movie has got some dollars behind it and some nice special effects it doesn't compare to having a good story. It doesn't deliver in the action stakes and it doesn't deliver in the horror stakes, so I am not too sure what this movie was trying to do.

(SPOILER ALERT) What really surprised me is the high school relationship that eventuated between the last player and the predator. It was completely unfounded and once more I couldn't stop laughing when the human starts to imitate the predator by scarring their face with acid, it wasn't after any drinks or anything. And how sweet of the predator to make her a spear and shield using the corpse of a dead alien. Seriously, it was so cute how they jumped on the escaping sleigh together and how the human would talk to it. Lassie must be rolling in her grave.
