Review of AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) by Wesley W — 29 Aug 2013
Huge lack of any suspense or tension whatsoever, which was what made the Ridley Scott Alien and James Cameron's Aliens classics. Instead of getting any suspense or tension, you get bad acting, a bad script, and careless direction.
Paul W.S. Anderson does not know how to direct a horror movie at all and he is a crap script writer. The thing that was also good in John McTiernan's Predator and the first two Alien movies was the characters.
Here you get dull uninteresting cardboard cutouts where you don't give a crap whether they die or not. I did think though the movie had okay action towards the end, besides that the film is completely forgettable and if you want to get interested in the creatures, watch the first two Alien movies and the first Predator movie, not the AVP films.
