Review of AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) by Guido S — 06 Mar 2014
As a fan of both series, it was set to be an interesting clash which could have been great. Sure, the PG-13 rating leaves a lot to be desired, but this was when studios started aiming for lower ratings to fill the seats.
The concept also never really takes off quite like it should. A group of scientists go to Antarctica to study a temple. When they get there, they set off a series of reactions which help start off a ceremony of sorts where the predators hunt the aliens as part of a ritual to prove their worthiness.
Not near the greatness of their predecessors but an enjoyable 'what-if' type clash-up of the two franchises.
