Review of AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) by Andrew H — 06 Jan 2015
I enjoyed the movie. There, I said it.
Sure, the movie was devoid of any personality or purpose but what the hell where you expecting from a title like that?
I bought the DVD, watched it. And got my money's worth.
No characters were particularly interesting apart from the Scottish one and Lance Hendrickson but the chemistry between the female lead and a Predator was quite eye-catching.
This movie also expands upon Predator culture. Another positive aspect.
If you wanted to watch a Xenomorph and a Predator fight. Then go watch this movie. Done.
Aliens vs Predator may not be the most sophisticated movie ever made (far from it.) But if you turn your brain off and just enjoy the ride then it is an incredibly satisfying and easy watch.
