Review of Avenue Montaigne (2006) by Spencer S — 24 Jun 2008
This is the first, and by far my perennial favorite, of the French films I have seen. It centers around a very appealing central character - Jessica - a young girl from the country, whom at the urging of her grandmother moves to Paris to look for a job.
Through her, we meet a number of fascinating characters including an aging art collector and his son, a concert pianist, and an actress. All of these characters, and Jessica, have their happy endings, very satisfying ends.
A must see!
