I was 8 years old when the first Iron Man hit the theaters so I've literally grown up with these characters. They've been there in my times of joy and of grief. Now when I'm 19 and I've finally seen the emotional conclusion it feels like I'm saying goodbye to a dear old friend of mine. This is the second movie I've seen that made me actually cry like a little baby (the first being Hacksaw Ridge) and I'm not in the least embarrassed by that.

Now I'm not going to pretend that the movie was perfect because it certainly was not. There are a ton of plot holes, horrible jokes and conveniences all throughout the movie. I still don't like Brie Larson as Captain Marvel in this movie, but I'm glad that they gave the deserved spotlight to the original Avengers and let her be the support in the final battle (although much needed support). There were also a few cringe moment's but they were not dragged out for too long so they didn't take me out of the movie that much. The pacing could also have been better but I felt as if the movie deserved to slow down after Infinity war's fast pace.

This movie is basically a huge fan service galore and for me it felt a great compliment to Infinity War. Whereas Infinity War was very action heavy, Endgame focuses a lot on dialogue and character development. And oh boy does the movie have some great emotional scenes in it. The very start of the movie is heart wrenching and by the end I was a human wreck. Robert Downey Jr's performance was excellent. He definitely stole the show, but also Scarlett Johansson's performance impressed me. Out of all the characters I identified with Johansson's Black Widow the most. She feels as if the Avengers' are her family which I feel as well.

A movie like this is definitely hard to review since it feels more like a friend than an actual movie. A movie with flaws, yes, but with so much emotion behind it and it's characters. A must see for fans of Marvel. Thank you Stan Lee for these amazing creative characters, this would never have happened without you.
