Review of Avengers: Endgame (2019) by Moviegal2016 — 26 Apr 2019

Solid Marvel pic but too long. The movie is definitely fun and a “must see” if you’re even a mild Marvel fan. Yet, be warned there’s nothing new here and with all the hype I expected more. The first two thirds of the movie are really slow and the plot feels labored and stale.

The last third of the movie is more interesting - yet, even there, the fights seem totally redundant. Although I enjoyed the movie, and would recommend it, I feel like this movie reinforces the idea that Marvel needs a fresh approach going forward.

Also, I have to comment on the length of the movie, three hours with no intermission just doesn’t work. At least a third of the viewers in our theater had to get up and take a break during the screening.

.. viewers of all ages by the way... so, I’d like to see either a shorter cut of the movie or an intermission built in... its very distracting when people are moving in/out of the theater.
