Review of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) by L Richard A — 27 Aug 2016

My most anticipated film to kick off the summer of 2015, and did it exceed expectations!? Well....kinda. The action is awesome like it was in the first film, and the characters still work great together! But the story? It didn't make that much sense! It could have been so much better, but this is what Marvel delivered us, so I liked it, but didn't love it. To give it some credit, at least the humor still works, unlike the other crap we've seen in certain films!

One of the problems I had with the film was the studio forcing Whedon to shoehorn in two characters from the X-Men universe. Im sorry, but we already have enough characters in this film to route for, we don't need anymore! What's worse, is that they are underdeveloped, and couldn't connect with them emotionally! Sure, one of them, Scarlett Witch, is hot, can't deny that. But her German accent!? (Groan!)Who the hell was that girls acting coach!? It feels like these things were rushed in production, and never had a chance to develop their skills on the acting part! Also, is it just me, or are they turning Black Widow into a slut? First, she had a crush on Tony, then she had the hots for Steve, and now, she's infatuated with Bruce! WTF!? I feel so sorry for Joss Whedon because it definitely does not feels like the movie which he wanted to make. So, in the end, it's still alright, but it makes me concerned for the last two films! A 6/10!
