Review of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) by Alan M — 24 Jun 2017

The greatest movie ever. Just when you thought the first movie couldn't be surpassed, behold Avengers Age of Ultron.

Spoiler alerts:

No doubt the movie picks up where Cap 2 left off. The Avengers taking down Hydra bases. This is also where we get our first glimpse of "The Twins" Wanda & Pietro. Aaron & Elizabeth did a great job playing their characters. We definitely got to see what the fears of the Earths Mightiest Heroes.

The next few paragraphs are no particular order.

We fine that the twins received their powers by volunteering themselves for experiments performed by Hydra. Which is reasonable since they can't be mutants. We also understand why they initially team up Ultron, because of Stark. It's all Tony's fault. Once Ultron begins to upload himself into the Visions body, Wanda is able to read his mind and sees what Ultron's true intentions are. Then they decide to team up with the Avengers.

At first I was ok with Quick Silver being killed off because he wasn't an original Avenger, but after seeing the movie again I came to like his character. Now I wish Joss didn't kill him off, but I read in an article that there were a lot of politics involved in this movie and compromises were made. So certain characters like Captain Marvel or Spiderman weren't able to make the cut.

We see an interesting relationship arise between Black Widow and Banner. I didn't really care for it.

James Spader played Ultron to perfection and needless to say, one of the main reasons I wanted to see this movie was because of James Spader's Ultron.
