Review of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) by Hector M — 10 Dec 2015
Marvel's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', while somewhat entertaining, doesn't nearly live up to the standards set by the other films in Phase 2 of their cinematic universe, most notably 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
Most of the film is spent watching our heroes chase the titular villain, Ultron, around the globe as he desperately attempts to put a plan into motion that will ultimately end the human race. The issue is that the threat never seems real. Ultron is extremely inconsistent in both his motivations and his desires, and is simply written to be far too goofy of a character. If you're a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, check this one out just to check it off the list.
