Review of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) by Alsmir — 26 May 2015
It's a decent movie but definitely not great unless you're a massive Marvel fan. Lots of fighting and rather disappointing story.
My main complains:
The villain - AI that was supposed to protect humans but decides that in order to do that he needs to start an apocalypse - how original.
Iron Man has some special suit that he keeps on the orbit. He uses it to fight Hulk but doesn't bother with it in the final fight.
Vibranium - the same material that was used for Captain America's shield. Turns out there is still a bunch of that metal on earth. More than that, Iron Man actually knows where to get that material, but he never bothered to make a suit out of vibranium. Really?
The friendly AI/cyborg they created. He can fly, shoot some beams and carry Thor's hammer, but nobody bothers to explain how he got these powers.
I enjoyed some of the back stories of the characters, fighting scenes were pretty cool but that's it. So far both Avengers 1 and 2 are the movies where the main concept is "Lets put all those superheroes together and make them fight against some evil, people will love that!".
Come on, at least make a decent story or proper enemies rather than a bunch of robots.
