Let's be honest here, most people who voted 5 or above did it for the VFX, they missed the rest. The problem is a movie is first and foremost a story brought to life by actors. Here the story is more than lacking, it's pompous, childish and ridiculous.
Should the absence of a story (and with massive inconsistencies) supported by gorgeous computer work be rewarded? In my opinion, the answer is no and as long as we rate highly these kind of products, we will only be served this kind of garbage.
