Utterly and shamefully disappointing( to say nothing of that other movie that lost the battle to use the word avatar in its title the same year) starter of the equally disappointing trend in recent blockbusters of being " visually stunning but plotless " it is essentially " Pocahontas in Space" which might have a more honest title, seeing as the titular avatar does little to effect the plot apart providing a means to semi-plausibility and as bad as " the last Airbender" is ( and.

OH MY IT IS) it at least kept me awake , unlike this movie which committed the crime of putting me to sleep thus making me watch it again to be fair, and having now seen it 3 times ( I rewatched it a second time to be doubly sure) I can honestly say it's one of the dullest movies I've had the displeasure of sitting through. 3 times.
