Review of Avatar (2011) by Sam L — 30 Mar 2017
My god. What a film. This movie has been in flux in my top 3 favorite movies of all time since it came out. Dropping the #2 when the Avengers came out. Dropping when Jurassic World came out. But it always bounces back to #1 on my list.
The visuals are STUNNING even today nearly a full decade after it came out and it STILL looks better than most films put out today. Now yeah the plot is comparable to Pocahontas but slight problem there being was that was a good film too.
If your trying to bash a movie don't compare it to another good movie unless it tried to pass itself off as that movie. This didn't try to pass itself off as another film. This movie pulled a good performance out of Sam Worthington if that's not an impressive feat I don't know what is.
The entire cast was amazing especially Worthington,Zoe Saldana,and Stephen Lang. It's been 8 years and I'm still FOAMING at the mouth for the sequel.
