Review of Avatar (2009) by Millo T — 31 Jul 2014
I have not seen it complete, but I am going to give my opinion till now and when I see the end, add any possible modification. First, I have not seen it in 3D; then, I can not appreciate the power of it.
However, I don´t think it would change my opinion about the movie, as you can see the graphics are very good anyway (and I don´t think it´s worth to pay 20 dollars by a movie just by watching in 3D).
Talking about the movie itself, it has a simple, weak plot, with a fool main character, and as one of my friends defined, it´s a mixture of Pocahontas and Dancing with wolves played by break-dance smurfs.
It´s a story one hundred times repeated about man and nature, not original, and poorly displayed. So, final dictamination, boring. P.S. I don´t understand that point about people crying because they can not live in a world as Pandora.
90% of the vegetation and animals exposed in the movie are just imitations of the wonderful beauties of Earth before humans started distroying everything (including Native American Indians, also copied as Navi).
So, people shouldn´t cry by that; that world exists, and we should do something to preserve it.
