It's a very sad, yet touching movie, that for some reason or another didn't get a lot of publicity. There's beautiful, beautiful symbolism in this movie, which perhaps is why it didn't get great reviews; You have to dig beyond surface level and be enlightened rather than simply entertained.
America doesn't like that.
