Review of Autumn in New York (2000) by Alfred A — 09 Jul 2008
I saw this movie several times on HBO, a few years ago... It was a beautiful movie. I like the scene when they were walking in central park amidst the autumn leaves background... I remember the old woman who remarked "nowadays your lucky if you can afford pistacio nuts" :) she was a relative of Winona Ryder in the movie I think.
Sister of her mom? Richard Gere has a solid performance here. He was often typecasted as a romantic lead. The Christopher De Leon of America. Incidentaly Winona had some trouble a few years back, when she allegedly shoplifted some clothes in Beverly Hills or was it at Saks in New York? She had some kind of a psychological problems before.
