Similar to other movies that cover the same topic of human robot relations, including a government based antagonist and a protagonist that shouldn't have been in the situation in the first place. Automata gives a somewhat creative look at a dystopian future, with the look into a complicated relationship between man and machine while touching on the failing environment.
