Visually astonishing, beautifully shot and atmospheric.... just a shame it plays like a standard, badly acted, 90's cheapo B'movie. Some of the acting and dialogue is terrible, and the plot has been seen a thousand times before.
... Although there are sparks of brilliance, Banderas does ok with his cliche alchy dropout character... But the mechs are the stars. Still worth a watch.
