Review of Australia (2008) by M F — 06 Dec 2010
Hollywood really took it's liberties on this film. Really Cliche ridden, the whole love story felt really fake to me, the way it developed was not interesting to watch. Nicole Kidman grew tiresome and Hugh Jackman is a damn good actor but he continues to choose crappy roles.
The director brought this very mediocre story to the screen in a sort of arrogant manner, it almost seemed like he was trying to win Academy Awards. The whole philosophical bullshit that it tried to throw at us was kind of funny.
This gets a flat out D- grade from me.
