Review of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) by Bryan K — 16 Mar 2011
1999 box-office hit certainly is a showcase for Mike Myers' convincing versatility (as co-writer/co-producer/three characters). Dr. Evil is probably his best. And there are certainly some very funny moments.
But numerous and pervasive sexual (and often gross) gags spoil the experience. A not-really-PG-13 movie my parents were not happy about when I was a kid. I'm a lot more discerning now though.
