Austenland is little more than bright colors, frilly costumes, and worn out romcom clichés. The characters, even the mean ones, have such little depth that you literally feel nothing for them. This film is indifferent to pretty much everything.
It is dessert--sweet and without any real substance. However, it is still cute and just fun to watch.
