Review of Auntie Mame (1958) by Ed R — 27 Jun 2007
There are two types of rich people: Those who live so others can see their wealth, and those who live to be happy and comfortable. Auntie Mame is the latter, preferring the irreverent to the stuffy, the casual to the elegant and honesty to polite social norms.
She pulls off class and elegance effortlessly without making it seem unattainable. This is the perfect movie to watch on a rainy day or when you're taking life too seriously.
