Review of Auntie Mame (1958) by Chris L — 24 Sep 2009
About an hour too long, but with a performance so full of campy glitter and drag-queen-esque grandeur you can barely resist. Rosalind Russell twitters and floats through the movie, ending each scene in a spotlight as though she is a lifelong star of her own story, no matter who else is in the picture.
The story isn't much, but I really watched it to get an idea of what I should expect this spring as Patrick at MMT. Woof.
