Schmaltzy but ultimately feel-good movie. Strong performances from Highmore (as the musical prodigy), Williams (as a modern day Fagin), Russell and Rhys-Meyers as the unknowing parents. music is literally everywhere as orphan Evan assumes the persona of August Rush and seeks to find his parents by playing his music.
