Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Stephen B — 28 Apr 2014
The performances are impeccable and oscar worthy, and the cinematography, while occasionally stagnant can also be bold and striking. The script is poignant and resonates to familial drama but goes way too far and pushes the limits of decency, believability and any semblance of reality.
A ultimately weak script raised by a superbly talented group in front and behind of the camera.
