Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Darrell I — 15 Feb 2014
Quite possibly the most depressing film I've ever seen. Even the interior settings in the movie are dark. I would have preferred to see Violet at least have a hint of recovery before the movie ends.
In the light of Phillip Seymour Hoffman's death, I think it's time Hollywood began to consider adding themes of the recovery process to films depicting drug abuse.
