Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Jorge B — 22 Feb 2014

I was talked into watching this movie by my dear friend Donna and I had no expectations what-so-ever. I watched the movie appreciating the emotional charged moments but the s without being able to relate to any of the characters and trying to remain free of passing judgement.

The acting was impressive. The dialogues were appropriate and intelligent but the story was dark, depressive, lacked direction, was drama on top of drama, discovering drama and all of this revolving around more drama! Viewers don't get an opportunity to connect or sympathize with none of the characters! And the ends leaves a huge hole that appears that the director got tired of continuing with such pointless plot.
