Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Hung-Ya L — 01 Mar 2014
I enjoy August: Osage County but of course not as one does as one watches a comedy that sort of enjoying. August: Osage County is telling a story about a dysfunctional family. Members get together again because of a missing father, which leads to a tragic event, as the story goes.
The audience then gets to see every person's personality as well as their family's story. These stories are not exactly pleasant, of which are even more disturbing or heartbreaking. However, such is life.
Life is long and we are all merely learners in terms of dealing with it. This movie has a great script and a bunch of brilliant actors. Chris Cooper's character has to be my favourite!
