Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Dan G — 12 May 2014
Man, there is not one likeable character in this depressing movie. Meryl Streep is the story here- she plays the role of death (basically) very well. Julia Roberts is just a complete bitch in this movie.
That said, it was a good movie with interesting quirks and an overall aura. But the biggest question for me: WHY on Earth, for a film that takes place in OKLAHOMA, would you cast two of the biggest Brits in the acting world, Ewan McGregor and Benedict Cumberbatch?? They both painfully struggled with their accents.
