Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Lea C — 16 May 2014
The acting was superb, as the cast are some of the best actors of our day. But the movie itself?!? It was just like any dysfunctional family's gathering would be. And we all have them, so it wasn't really all that interesting or fun to watch.
Julia Roberts & Meryl Streep were amazing to watch, but if the same movie had been done by "smaller caliber" actors then it would have been unwatchable. Either way I was glad I saw it on DVD.
