Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Derek M — 28 Jul 2014
Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep give great performances in August: Osage County, a bitter, bleak, and raw drama about a (highly) dysfunctional family. There are a few missteps, and it feels a little long, but overall it's still an affecting and interesting film with a very good script and minimal flaws.
There is great work here from the supporting cast as well, especially by Juliette Lewis and Abigail Breslin.
