Review of Audition (2000) by Paul M — 24 Apr 2012

Being a fan of miike takashi's "ichi the killer" I knew there would be some gore. this movie however wasn't as gory as "ichi". I liked the build up here but the payoff left me a little disappointed.

The story is clever- a middle-aged widower decides he wants to try marriage again. with his sons approval he sets about doing so. but he has no idea how to start. a friend who works for a film company tells him they'll conduct auditions!
