Review of Au Revoir les Enfants (1987) by Sammie M — 14 Apr 2007
Chilling portrayal of the prejudice faced by Jews during WWII. The triumph of the child acting in this movie is matched by the directing, which uses wide shots and slow dollies to create a sense of loneliness.
These children have really been abandoned by all they loved and they seem so distant. Emotionally impactful.
