Review of Au Revoir les Enfants (1987) by Nikolas G — 19 Jan 2011
One of the most effective films about the divisiveness of war. Namely WWII. It shows both great compassion and great intolerance, as well as a memorable relationship that transcends the differences that blinded so many people during the war, differences that are irrelevant in the eyes of a boy like Julien.
The end is truly moving.
