Review of Attenberg (2010) by Vincent L — 08 Sep 2011
Unlike the reviews I'd read - I liked this a lot. It's a art-house twist on a coming of age story, it has alienating and surreal elements within it. The performances are all beautifully understated - it reminded me at points of Godard and Hal Hartley.
However, through all that, fundamentally it speaks to the absurdity and poignancy of human existence. So there.
