Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Alison O — 21 Mar 2012
From the production team behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, this Joe Cornish sci-com pits an inner city gang against invading aliens. The premise is sound enough and Cornish's writing skills ensures that this is a quality production, but it's more like an extended Dr Who episode than in the class of the first two movies in Edgar Wright's 'Cornetto trilogy'.
A promising start for Joe Cornish's full length feature career.
