Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Cody W — 21 Jul 2012
The thing that made this one of the better suspense movies that I've seen was the implicit commentary on race and social class. It belongs in the same category as Night of the Living Dead, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and the more recent Battle Royale.
I also think that it features some of the best child acting I've seen. Loved every second of it. It's nice to see a popcorn movie that isn't patronizing.
