Attack the block is a great little indie movie in the vain of Shaun of the dead. This is exactly what you picture when you hear the genre dark comedy. The action and suspense is fluid all the way to the films climax.
The protagonists in this film start out as troublesome thugs but by the end wind up unlikely heroes, especially the gang leader. This is a definite watch for those that enjoy a good time watching a flick.
