Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Ken T — 24 Aug 2012
Street kids become the unlikely anti-heroes against an invading horde of killer alien monsters in a confident directorial debut by Joe Cornish that marries the infamous British youth hooligan culture with science-fiction scares.
An unusual but entertaining pairing, ATTACK THE BLOCK is a fast, fun, frightening romp with pitch perfect blend of sci-fi, comedy and social commentary, and is just the kind of movie that is criminally underrated but rightfully impressive.
Trust.
