Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Janis A — 08 Oct 2012
This is not a masterpiece of cinema, as some are declaring it to be, but thanks to the vivid camera in " City of God" style and the natural acting of the mostly amateur actors, Attack the Block delivers a fresh and memorable take on the Alien Invasion.
It also gives insight into Londons suburbs, a rare cinema object, and is at times quite funny. It is british true and true, but the main message is easy enough to understand. The movie is also one of the most entertaining alien movies ever.
