Review of Attack the Block (2011) by Jorge D — 26 Nov 2012
"Attack The Block" proves that even the most beaten clichà (C)s of a genre film can win amazing flavors when they add inventiveness daring and even the right amount of eccentricity.
With itsbig teeth scary alien - that seem out of a '50s B movie - the production manages to portray how few some aspects of the current generation of teenagers and without any kind of prejudice uses this quality to produce in the viewer the feeling that want - be it the unrestrained laughter of good comedies, the seizure of more competent thrillers or even, some critical reflection about the status quo of the modern world.
Best of all is that all these good results are achieved with lightness and without hiding the alternative gene production. Here there is no room for pretentious ramblings of those who think that is rediscovering the wheel, it's just a good gear put to work with talent and creativity.
