A fun mash up of the alien genre with the street gang genre, the plot follows Moses and his posse of street hoodlums as the defend the apartment block they live in from an alien invasion. The plot is simple, but this is a good thing, allowing us to focus on the invasion and the kids and nothing else.

As time goes on we grow to care about Moses and his gang, who at the beginning robbed a nurse at knife point who ends up teaming up with the gang for her own safety. Moses has a nice character arc, going from thug to savior who takes responsibility for his actions prior on.

The aliens in question are brilliant too, almost ape like in form, as black as black can be with neon green teeth that glow in the dark; one of the best monster creations in years. For fans of Shaun of the Dead (Nick Frost co-stars in AtB as well) and the Kidulthood/Adulthood films.
